WebP to SVG
Trace a WebP logo or graphic into an editable SVG. Nothing is uploaded.

Converted on your device. Files are never uploaded.
Up to 20 files at a time.
Logos and graphics copied from websites often arrive as WebP, which turns soft and jagged when you enlarge it. Tracing the image into SVG rebuilds it as vector shapes you can scale, recolour and edit. FormatJet runs the tracing in your browser, so the WebP never leaves your device.
About the formats
WebPWebP image
WebP is an image format made for the web. Files are smaller than JPG and PNG and can have transparency or animation, but some older apps can’t open it.
SVGSVG vector image
SVG is a vector format made of shapes instead of pixels, so it stays sharp at any size. It’s used for logos, icons and illustrations on the web.
Converted with jSquash, vtracer, Image engine.
Questions
Does the SVG contain real vector paths?
Yes. vtracer redraws the WebP’s pixels as vector shapes, so you can open the SVG in a vector editor and resize, recolour or reshape it.
What kind of WebP images give good results?
Graphics with flat areas of colour and clear outlines, such as logos, badges, icons and cartoons. Photographs trace into heavy files full of flat colour bands, so they’re better kept as pixels.
What about an animated WebP?
Only its first frame is traced. The SVG is a single still drawing.
Which Colours and Detail settings should I use?
Black and white suits signatures, ink drawings and lettering, while Colour turns each colour region into its own shape. Under Detail, High keeps small parts and hugs the edges, and Low makes fewer, smoother shapes.
Does a very large WebP trace at full size?
WebP files up to 20 MB are accepted, but anything longer than 2,000 px on its long side is traced at 2,000 px. The finished SVG can still be scaled up without blur.
