SVG to ICO
Make a multi-size favicon ICO from an SVG logo. Nothing is uploaded.

Converted on your device. Files are never uploaded.
Up to 20 files at a time.
Logos usually start life as SVG, but many favicon setups and Windows itself still use ICO files. FormatJet renders your SVG, scales it to each icon size you choose and packs them into one ICO with the transparency kept. It happens in your browser, so your logo never leaves your device.
About the formats
SVGSVG vector image
SVG is a vector format made of shapes instead of pixels, so it stays sharp at any size. It’s used for logos, icons and illustrations on the web.
ICOWindows icon
ICO is the Windows icon format used for favicons and app icons. One ICO file can hold the same icon in several sizes.
Converted with Browser SVG renderer, jSquash, Image engine.
Questions
How does an SVG become the different icon sizes?
FormatJet draws the SVG at 256 px, then scales that image down to each size you tick under “Icon sizes” in Options. All of them go into the same ICO file.
Which sizes are ticked by default?
The sizes browsers usually look for in a favicon. Tick extra ones, up to 256 px, if the icon is for a Windows shortcut or a program.
Will the icon have a transparent background?
Yes, wherever the SVG has nothing drawn. Rounded corners, cut-out shapes and the space around the logo stay clear at every size.
My SVG is wider than it is tall. Will it be squashed?
No. A non-square drawing keeps its proportions and is centred on a transparent square, with empty space above and below. Crop the artboard to a square first if you want the logo to fill the icon.
