TIFF to JPG
Turn TIFF scans and photos into JPGs you can share. Nothing is uploaded.
Drop TIFF files here
Converted on your device. Files are never uploaded.
Up to 20 files at a time.
TIFF files from scanners, cameras and print work are often large, and many websites, email apps and phones won’t display them. Converting to JPG gives you files that open almost anywhere. FormatJet converts TIFF to JPG in your browser, so your scans never leave your device.
About the formats
TIFFTIFF image
TIFF is a high-quality image format used for scanning, printing and archiving. One file can hold several pages, and files are usually large.
JPGJPEG image
JPG (or JPEG) is the most widely supported photo format. Its lossy compression keeps files small, which suits photos but not sharp text or transparency.
Converted with magick-wasm, Image engine.
Questions
What happens to a multi-page TIFF?
Every page becomes its own JPG. Download the pages one at a time, or all together as a ZIP.
Why does my first TIFF take longer to start?
TIFF files are read with ImageMagick, which the page downloads the first time you need it, about 5 MB. Your browser caches it, so later TIFFs skip that download.
Can I convert confidential scans?
Yes. ImageMagick runs inside your browser, so scanned contracts, records and IDs are converted on your device. The counter under the file list shows 0 bytes uploaded.
What quality are the JPGs saved at?
Quality 85 on a scale of 1 to 100. For scans you’ll print or archive, raise it in Options.
