Many websites serve their images as WebP, a format that isn’t accepted everywhere. Putting WebP images into a PDF gives you one file to print, keep or send. FormatJet converts and combines them in your browser, so your images never leave your device.

About the formats

WebPWebP image

WebP is an image format made for the web. Files are smaller than JPG and PNG and can have transparency or animation, but some older apps can’t open it.

PDFPDF document

PDF is the standard format for documents that should look the same everywhere. It can hold text, images and vector graphics across many pages.

Converted with jSquash, pdf-lib, Image engine.

Questions

How does a WebP image go into a PDF?

Each WebP is converted first. Photos go in as high-quality JPEG and images with transparent areas go in as PNG, so their transparency is kept.

Can I combine WebP images saved from different websites?

Yes. Add up to 20 WebP files, set their order with the move-up and move-down buttons, and they become one PDF with one image per page.

My image is named .webp. Why does the page say it’s something else?

FormatJet reads the file’s contents, not its name. If a .webp file actually holds another format, the page tells you what it really is and links to the converter for it.

Can I print the PDF on A4 or Letter paper?

Yes. Choose A4 or Letter in Options and add a margin of up to 50 mm, and landscape WebP images get landscape pages. If you don’t, each page matches its image’s size.
