Converted on your device. Files are never uploaded.
Up to 20 files at a time.
GIFs are handy for diagrams, scanned drawings and old web graphics, but a PDF is easier to print, attach or archive. FormatJet places each GIF on a PDF page in your browser, combining them into one document or making one per image. Your files never leave your device.
About the formats
GIFGIF image
GIF is an old image format best known for short animations. It’s limited to 256 colours, so photos look grainy and files can be large.
PDFPDF document
PDF is the standard format for documents that should look the same everywhere. It can hold text, images and vector graphics across many pages.
Converted with Browser image decoder, jSquash, pdf-lib, Image engine.
Questions
What happens to an animated GIF?
The PDF shows a still picture of its first frame, because a PDF page doesn’t play animation. Every GIF gets a page of its own.
Can I choose the order of the pages?
Yes. With “Combine into one PDF” ticked, the GIFs go in the order shown; rearrange them with the move buttons, then press “Create PDF”.
Can I get a separate PDF for each GIF?
Untick “Combine into one PDF” and every GIF becomes its own file. Several PDFs download one by one or together as a ZIP.
How do I fit GIFs onto printable pages?
Set Page size to A4 or Letter in Options and add a Margin in millimetres. The default, “Fit to image”, makes each page the same size as its GIF.
