Up to 20 files at a time.
PNG is the usual format for screenshots, diagrams and graphics with transparent backgrounds. Putting them into a PDF gives you one file to send, print or attach. FormatJet builds the PDF in your browser and keeps every PNG lossless, so no detail is lost and your images never leave your device.
About the formats
PNGPNG image
PNG is a lossless image format with transparency. It’s ideal for screenshots, logos and graphics with sharp edges, but photos come out larger than JPG.
PDFPDF document
PDF is the standard format for documents that should look the same everywhere. It can hold text, images and vector graphics across many pages.
Converted with pdf-lib, Image engine.
Questions
Does the PDF keep my PNG’s transparent background?
Yes. PNG images go into the PDF losslessly, so transparent areas stay transparent and no pixel is changed. They aren’t turned into JPEG on the way.
Will small text in my screenshots stay readable?
Yes. Because each PNG goes in losslessly, fine text, thin lines and sharp edges in screenshots and diagrams look the same in the PDF as in the PNG.
Can I get a separate PDF for each PNG?
Yes. Untick “Combine into one PDF” under the dropzone before adding files, and each PNG becomes its own PDF. Use “Download all” to save them as one ZIP.
Can I fit PNG images onto A4 or Letter pages?
By default each page is the size of its image. Choose A4 or Letter in Options, set a margin from 0 to 50 mm, and wide images get landscape pages.
Are my screenshots uploaded?
No. The PDF is put together in your browser, so screenshots with private details never leave your device. The counter under the file list shows 0 bytes uploaded.
